If this is about a guy, then you shouldn't date one or the other just because someone said the one sport is better than the other. But, if I wasn't taking my own advice I would definately have to say football! What is better than looking at guys in tight pants?!?

Well either would be perfect. For bball you need to be able to have aim, and gymnastics helps that, believe it or not.
Football you need strong legs to balance on and run with. You could try both, which one do you think is more fun?
