I also have been portioning my right, and i have stopped eating chips, candy, ice cream, etc. I eat 3-5 healthy meals a day. Im also pretty sure that I exercise enough too. (but any good exercises that i can do at home without equipment would be nice to know too). but I am stuck at a plateau right now. all i want to lose is about 10 pounds. that way, i can finally look good before summer. does anyone know ANYTHING that can help me????

My favorite thing to do is rent workout DVDs. I get very bored very quickly. I have blockbuster online, and they have a huge selection. That way, if you hate a workout, you don't have to be mad you just blew $20 on something you'll never use again.
You can also try walking or running. You can do it anywhere, it's free, and a great calorie blaster. Try the site below, I want to start running again, and it has been very, very helpful.

What types of food are you eating? Certain people are sensitive to certain foods. I know that I am very sensitive to carbs. Cruddy because I love them so, if you find you gain or bloat easily when you eat carbs that would be why. With that eat a higher protein. An egg with 4 pieces of turkey bacon (lower in fat and grease) lunch try a chicken salad (good thing when you cook the chicken cook it with a fat free Italian dressing it keeps it moist and yummy) dinner have steak with lots of broccoli and little snakes of a protein shake and 3 oz of cheese. This is just a what you could do.

Also it could be the types of veggies and met etc that you re eating. While I don't suggest completely following the diet, it does give some great information. The diet is "Eat Right For Your Blood Type". It may seem kind of hokey, I thought so too until I did a paper on all the major diets and fad diets.

What king of exercise are you doing? Theoretically if you want any exercises to be truly beneficial the best things is a minimum of 30 mins. If you want to lose fat content and fast, the best is through a weight training program. If you have to weights try using textbooks. Lay down on the carpet and with two texts books (fairly equal in weight) use that as a bench press type of motion. For your legs fill up a laundry basket with heavy objects and do squats and lunges with that.

Another thing which is fairly inexpensive, get those wrist and ankle weights when you go for walks (should be jogging) wear those. Knee-ups are also great especially with the ankle weights.

Back to diets. First thing I HATE the term diet. I prefer lifestyle change. Drink 8-10 glasses of water, 1-2 glasses of milk. A combination of the weight watcher style, mixed with curves, jenny craig, and eat right for your blood type is best.

It also may be your metabolism needs a boost. Green tea is a great way to help increase your metabolism as well as would also count as one of you glasses of water a day (granted it is caffeine free).

Hope this helps, if not let me know I will get ya more info.

First and Best Way: Excersize!!!!!!!!!!! You need to excersize atleast 1 hour a day and I would say Running/Jogging is the best way to go about it. But personally, I hate that so I do jumping jacks, skip rope, rollerskate, and run up-and-down my stairs. Any type of rigorous, systematic movement can be considered excersize

Second Way: Reduce your intake of highly saturated fats! Stop eating those artery-clogging french fries, chicken wings, etc. It's okay to eat them once a week but don't pig out on them. If you normally order a Large Fries, then order Medium one next time.

Third Way: Reduce your intake of Meat Products. That way, you save animals and help benefit your health. It's true that meat has protein and iron, but you can get iron supplements and protein from vegeterian food. I'm not saying you should have a vegeterian diet from now on (even tho I am a vegeterian); I'm just saying you should reduce your intake of meat. So if you eat meat everyday, cut it down to three days a week.

Fourth Way: Eat your fruits and vegetables. I eat three fruits and three vegetables everyday and I think that has worked for me pretty well (I'm 100 pounds ..n no I'm not anoerexic (did I spell that right?)) Anyways, urge your parents to buy more fruit and veggies and include them in your dinner. Even if you don't want to eat as many fruits and veggies as I do, you should atleast have two fruits and two veggies in your diet EACH day. There is good vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, water, and other stuff in there that helps you lose weight.

Fifth Way: Water is a natural appetite suppressant, so developing a good water drinking habit can be a long-term aid in achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. Doctor F. Batmanghelidj MD, author of "Your Body's Many Cries For Water" says most times your “hunger” is your body asking for water – not food. It's also important to remember that when the body is dehydrated, fat cells get "rubbery" and cannot be easily metabolized. This means that it's harder to lose when you don't drink your water.

Sixth Way: Drink lukewarm water with two table spoons of honey daily

Seventh Way: One-Two table spoons of vinegar

Anyways, those were a few options that you can try simultaneously (which is what I recommend) or one-by-one. You take care of urself and good luck with that!

for exercises, sit ups are great. do 2 sets of 30 before breakfast, in the afternoon, and after dinner. lunges are great too, do 1 set of 20 (10 on each leg) during the same time as the sit ups (breakfast, afternoon, and dinner) and if you have saddlebags, then walk up the stairs taking two steps at a time. since you only have 10 more pounds to lose, it will be harder so try to eat some extra veggies or fruits. just be a little more strict and be patient because it will come off just not as fast as before.

Don't just drink milk in the morning. Your body needs more to start the day. Increase your water in take. And, switch your meals around. Have lunch for dinner and dinner for lunch. Switch up your exercises as well--do something new. Be sure you're taking in enough calories as well. If not, your body will go into starvation mode and that'll prevent or stall your weight loss.

Good luck!☺

That's great that you've dumped the soda and sugary drinks! Isn't it much better to eat your calories than to drink them?!?Try varying the amount of calories you take in each day. Keep a food journal to help you. This will "spark" your metabolism. On the days that you consume more calories, be sure to fill them with good, healthy choices like cheese, nuts, olives, fruits, lean meats, for example. Keep "empty" calories to a minimum but don't deprive yourself. Good Luck and whatever you do, don't starve yourself. Drink lots of water and exercise for sure!
