further, does not Iran have a right to protect itself from the illegal and aggressive incursions into their territory over the past year by teh British and Americans in an effort to prepare for an illegal attack upon it? Have not the Iranians demonstrated for the whole world just how weak and impotent the British have become?

Yes I agree, Iran has every right to protect itself. Especially when you consider that the U.S snatched 5 Iranian diplomats in Northern Iraq in January and are still holding them for god knows what reason. Also you need to consider that Saudi Arabia, a very close political ally of the U.S, is currently arming factions within Iraq to ensure that Iraq erupts into civil war...Oh I wonder why??? Saudi Arabia is also reported to be buying up arms by the lorry load...Oh I wonder why??

Lets not all be hypocritical about the situation. We have the luxury of nuclear power, why should the Iranians not have it? We, the allied nations, can kidnap Iranian citizens and representatives, why can the Iranians not do the same to us?

You all should start looking at the consequenses of what WE are doing. The Americans and the British were the aggressors in the Iraq war. There were no "weapons of mass destruction" that could be utilised "within hours", which was the primary reason for the invasion of Iraq, Saddam Hussein was not involved in the 9/11 terror attack and there has never been any evidence to connect him to it, plenty connecting Afghanistan and Pakistan though, why were Pakistan not invaded?? and finally it is not Iran, or the Isamic nations, who are supplying arms to terrorist groups all over the world in order to destablise governments so that western capitalists can exploit other nations resources by installing puppet governments, oh no, that is the Americans. Anybody remember the Iran-Contra affair? No, bet you don't.

Iran has every right to protect herself against agressive capitalist governments who are determined to conquer the Middle East and rape it of it's valuable oil reserves. America and Britian CONSPIRED to MANUFACTURE the war against Iraq...Oh I wonder why??....But is'nt Iraq right next door to Iran??? Would'nt that make it easier to launch an attack against Iran???..Oh I wonder why?? If you study the history of Iranian-American relations since the 1930's and the history of American covert operations in the Middle East you will understand why.

IMPERIALISM IS THE PROBLEM, BUT WAR IS NOT THE SOLUTION!!!

Firstly, the Iranians position of stopping the Royal Navy was in Iraqi waters. They later changed it to their own.
Secondly, The British would have no problem attacking and successfully overwheming the Iranians. At the moment they are putting down the insurgents in Iraq and once this is successfully quelled I am sure Iran is definately on the next "hit-list".
The British have not become weak, Those who lead us have though I assure you!

The Brits say they have proof that the sailors were in Iraqi waters, that's enough for me personally considering Iran is the other half of the equation but If people doubt it so I am sure they could produce the results to the UN or some other governing body. The Brits have every right to demand their sailors back and if that demand is not met then the powers that be will decide where to proceed from here.

Iran has been flittin around the middle east for the last four years, leaving death, conspiracy, and destruction in it's path. It has gone from Iraq, with it's supply of road side bombs, IED's, suicide bombers, etc., to Lebanon and it's supplying of Hezbollah, to the Palestinian authority and it's support of Hamas. You think these people have a beef over illegal and aggressive incursions into their territory? You have a dumb @ss set of double standards, if you do !

The imbeciles who run Iran have just given Great Britain all the reason in the world to attack their divine turf, and I doubt that Great Britain or the US will stand by for very long, while that banjo eyed midget, Ahmadinejad thumbs is nose at the two carrier fleets staring down his smelly throat !

So, my dear raghead, you just heard it first from someone who dearly wants a piece of your cruddy @ss !

They have demonstrated to the whole world, how unpredictable they really are and exactly why they shouldn't be allowed nuclear capabilities. They have kidnapped British soldiers on Official UN duty in Iraqi waters and they wonder why no one trusts them. Imagine what they would do if they had nuclear weapons !!!

Are any of those people who were in power a century ago still in power? If they are then I don't trust them....but not because of their treatment of Iran, but because they are still in power a century later.
