Its hillarious, when I see a cat or one of my cats perched on a table or high place, I wonder "where did that cat put its legs?" They look like a cat sculpture, especially when they're only mildly dozing.

You'd think they could retract their "landing gear" like they were airplanes.

I know! We call it the meatloaf position when Ari has her legs all tucked underneath her. She looks like a little loaf on the floor. She also does a weird neck thing where she'll be in sort of the meatloaf position, but will crane her neck out flat on the floor. Looks quite uncomfortable if you ask me, but cats can sleep in almost any position!

I've wondered that too

Sometimes my cat will do that with his back legs and put his front ones straight out. He looks like the Spyhnx

I think it's cute. They do it mostly for warmth and to be comfortable.

My sister and I like to joke around and say they look like slippers. Since we have four cats, and two of them look alike, when we see one like that we say "Hey, where's my other slipper?"

It's cute.
