No. Because unfortunately many people need another party to tell them something is wrong instead coming to that conclusion on their own.
I don't kill, steal, covet my neighbor's wife b/c I know it is wrong. However, some people need that to be told to them b/c otherwise they wouldn't know.

Those things were not caused by Religion, but by evil men doing them sometimes in the name of Religion, sometimes not. Many wars are fought for oil for instance.
Are the only hypocrites Christians, are the only murders Christian, are the only people that hate Christian? how about the non-Christians that cause confusion?
I think you are assuming that because you have met some bad Christians and because some evil men have killed many in the name of Religion you are making a long reach to assume that all bad comes from Religion.
Evil comes from the heart of men, Religious or not.
If we follow the example of Jesus, we will not be evil and that is the only thing that will eliminate the wars, lies, intolerance, bloodshed etc..... Or you can show me where Jesus supported those evil things?
Peace!

No.
There would still be wars.
Men and women would still cheat on each other and lie about it.
Intolerance isn't only to religion or lack there of.
There are still mentally psychotic people, and they might still kill.
We still don't have all the answer so there is still confusion.
I am sure some people will have grudges against someone else.
There are still going to be people who say one thing and do another, that can be an individual not just a group.
I think it would be a more scientific world and there would be faster advancements in technology and medical fields. We might be able to eliminate some of those, but conflicts will still occur.

I honestly don't think that it would make a heap of difference either way. If you remove the religious factor, humans would still find something to justify the need for war. You have to remove human nature to stop lies, intolerance, bloodshed, confusion, hatred, and hypocrisy. Human nature always finds a reason for wars. Look at Hitler. His aggression wasn't due to religion, it was due to skin color.
Also, just to argue the point, how do you know that religion hasn't quelled more wars than it causes? Religious people may choose not to engage in more wars simply out of fear of the wrath of god. When man has nobody to answer to other than that of other men, what fear does he have to keep him from killing unjustly?

You're kidding right?
If mankind didn't have religion to fight over or to subjugate people with they would find something else. Xenophobia seems to be inherent in our nature. There will always be people who would be willing to hurt others to get what they want, with or without religion as a justification.
And have you ever told a lie? Struck out in anger? Hated someone? Thought worse of a person because of sex / belief / skin color? Held someone to a standard you yourself could not or would not achieve? Or are you honestly saying that only religious people have these personality foibles?
I could go on, but it's late and I'm cranky and I'm just gonna get hostile in a minute or two.

I would have severe questions about this method of elimination. Execution? Suddenly having them wake up and realise there is no god, shattering their world view? I would object to any non-humane 'elimination'.
And "No more wars, no more lies, no more intolerance, no more bloodshed, no more confusion, no more hatred, no more hypocrisy" is bloody unlikely. It'd just be one less thing to fight over.

Should we eliminate white people from the world, so that there would be no more racism by whites against other races? People who try to pin everything on a single source like religion are either naive or just haters. People will always do bad things as long as there is selfish desire.

Well as a Freethinker/Agnostic/Humanist I realize that some people find comfort and a sense of direction with religion. Therefore I would have to say no I wouldn't. As long as they don't cross the line then it's perfectly fine.

No, because then they wouldn't have anyone to insult. What would the rabid atheists do with all their time? Who would they rant against? Who would they blame for all the worlds problems?
Don't fool yourself, religions don't cause all war. The US didn't try to wipe out all the Native Americans over religion, it was greed, pure and simple. The English didn't invade Ireland and Scotland over religion, it was greed. Whatever you believe about war, know that it usually greed more than any other reason and athesits are certainly not without their fair share of greediness.

Sure, I believe the theists are incorrect (and some can be real pains in the tokus), but they have the right to be wrong. I'm sure some of them wish I would just believe the way they want me to.
Freedom of religion is too important to just flush down the toilet.

You can't eliminate a belief structure, it becomes obsolete. If I were able to eliminate religion, it would be because I had discovered advanced alien races (who don't share our religious views), brought someone in cyrogenic suspension back to life, or any other event that would clearly and obviously conflict with religious tenets.
If we don't destroy ourselves I think this is inevitable
imagine..
