I know for me, I need to trust the individual I share them with. Is it the same for guys?

It could mean that he feels open and connected with you. IF its really early in the relationship or if he can't shut up about his beliefs, It could mean that he takes his beliefs too seriously.

We are pretty much after one thing most of the time, and sharing my belief with you is just another way to start a dialog that will hopefully end in coitus.
Sorry, for the harsh truth, but thats what it is. At least its true for 90% of us red blooded males. You will get some responses that contradict this statement but in reality they fit in with the remaining 10% that are trying to pray the gay away.
