Does your significant other ever acknowledge the fact that you left them a voicemail message on their phone?

When I leave my bf a voicemail, he never says "Oh, I got your message." He acts like I never even left a message to begin with. I find myself asking him sometimes if he ever got it. Like today, I asked him if he got my message. It was me saying sorry about something. He was just like, "Yeah" and that was it.

Is my boyfriend the only one who does this?? It's pretty annoying.

In your place (if breaking up is out of discussion) I would stop leaving messages it"s simple.Sometimes if someone ignores us is then that we want him to give us attention.Try this and watch reactions.

my ex boyfriend did that with letters i wrote him sometimes. Sometimes i would have to ask him what he thought of it. And i know he has caller ID [ but no answering machine ] and sometimes i would call him and nobody would answer and then i would try back a few hours later and he'd be home but he never would say "you called earlier?" or he would never call me back and say "did you call earlier?". Yeah i agree it is pretty annoying! but i think some guys are just like that!

i know a lot of people that will listen to the first 3 seconds of the message and erase it once they figure out who it is that called them.
if you get annoyed over something as petty as this, maybe its time you find a new boyfriend.

well u gotta ask him wen u leave messages every time if he got it. then it'll become second nature and he'll tell you. if u were apologizing for something and he just said "yeah" he pbly just didnt want to talk about the situation. but then again it depends on what the situation was.

my b/f does that too. its ok.

Lots of people do it. I mean my boyfriend did it all the time and so do my friends. Its weird really everyone eather listens to 2 seconds of it just to know who called or they listen to all of it but then expect you to know they did. People are so weird.

Is the voice mail of any importance or is just jibber jabber?

If its important then i can see your concern, if its useless then stop wasting his time.
