I predicted before the game that Barry Fergusson would be Sportscenes `Man of the Match`. It isn`t just pathetic, it is insulting to the viewers at home that Mc Call continually picks `Squarebaw` everytime he sees our ambassador for shellsiuts playing. The best line for me was,` the only Scottish player who could play for the World Champions is BF`. Does this McCall ever listen to the rubbish that comes out of his mouth?

Cleland the MoM was either Brown, Rangers player or Gordon, Hearts player. I don`t go in for that small minded us and them behaviour. I call a spade a spade, not a digging implement.

Predictable as ever!! What he didn't say was he just fell out the back of him before the game!!!
I would have given it to Brown.

Well i gonna stick up for him here, i think he is quite funny, and i did think Ferguson was the best player for Scotland on the park, he made some good pass's, he also tryed to keep the ball, unlike some of the others who just booted it anywhere, Brown was also good but he never really done that much with the ball all he really did was chase shadows, worked hard, Gordon made some decent save's and kept the scoreline down, but Ferguson was the best player( that's my best answer gone) lol, i kind of agree with some of the answer's, dont bring the old firm into this, the Celtic players were woefull as well, the way Hartley is playing he should not even be in the team, Mcmanus lost us the first goal, and Miller cant win us a penalty to save his life, we should stand together when Scotland play and not bring the old firm into this, because i think thats what this question is about really, a go at a Rangers player

Barry Ferguson had a totally crap game, in my opinion, and Ian McCall must have had a bet on at the bookies on Ferguson as to who would be Scotland's man of the match, and as a result picked him!!!!!! LOL I think Craig Gordon should have got it-without those saves it could have been 4 or 5-0, and with how tight this group is, goal difference could play a major part at the end of the campaign. Anyway c'mon the Scotland-we'll still qualify!

Yeah I know. Me and my grandad both when "WHY!!!!!" when he said Barry Ferguson. All we saw him do was lose the ball and pass it back to the keeper when there was a italian striker in the box.

I personally would have giving it to Scott Brown, he looked really deadly at times.

Still the bigger mystery is why Kenny Miller was in the side instead of Kris Boyd, knowing Ian McCall, I bet Kenny Miller was his second choice man of the match lol

Still it could be worst, we could be England struggling for an hour against a team full of bank managers and shepards lol

At least we got beat by the Champions of the World and made a game of it.

Although Luca Toni scored 2 goals, I thought stephen Mcmanus was a stick out, in the match not just for scotland. Ian McCall is a failed SPL manager, he is inarticulate, predictable and must be contracted to give any MOM award to Barry Backpass! (the Jade goody of Scottish Fitba)

In the first half, Baz passed the ball to alexander, then turned his back. Hardly the actions of a "midfield general", not wanting or expecting the ball back!

And Paul Hartley, on current form, should be dropped, he was just as woeful!

Oh and happy birthday Cleland, I hope this means you have matured enough to accept the wonderful diversity of people in Scotland!

I was very surprised to hear Barry named as man of the match. My own choice would have been Brown he certainly didn't look out of place tonight. Followed by Craig Gordon.

I was screaming at the T.V. What Barry Ferguson were these morons watching.

He constantly played us into trouble by turning to face his own box and playing it to defenders.
He turned into Italian players by going backwards instead of forward and positive.
Half his passes found no-one and were played into voids.

Ferguson is a nightmare, and why he's captain is still a total mystery!

I see our knuckle dragging nanderthols from Lanarkshire are spouting their lack of footballing knowledge again. Ferguson was kak, he always is for Scotland. Ian McCall is he worst pundit on BBC, he just spouts pish or 90 mins. In fact, i'm surprised he doesn't come on here now and again, he'd fit in with his Ibrox friends!
