Looks like most stay at the Hilton or Valley River Inn. But tripadvisor reviews for the Hilton say to stay at Valley River....and vice versa! What's a nice place to sack out for a couple of nights?

There are several motels, some of them nice, on Gateway Street in Springfield. This is right off the I-5 freeway, which separates Eugene and Springfield. There are also a good selection of restaurants there, and the Gateway Mall is a short (4 block?) walk away as well.

Here are the names of some of the hotels there:
Shilo Inn 541-747-0332

Quality Inn 541-726-1212

You might also consider this one:

This ought to at least give you a few other choices to look at.
Personally, between the Hilton and Valley River Inn, I like the latter ... but there ARE other fish in the pond, lol.

If you stay at the Hilton you are right in downtown - near bars/restaurants - Valley River is across the river from downtown - so not sure if its a walkable distance.

I stayed at the Hilton - and its typical - nothing fancy - they have a restaurant and small bar - but you literally walk out of the hotel and there are a bunch of different places to eat drink - I think the Valley River is more secluded
