Check your syllabus the thing that they had out in the beginning of class listing how you will be graded. See if on it lists behavior as part of the grading curriculum.

Aaron, you do not state what grade you are in, but as mom to 4 kids and a friend to many teachers, this is what I feel: if your teacher told you points would be removed if you did not follow rules or were disruptive, then it is okay. It would not be fair to you if the teacher did not tell you this before they did it.
You might also check with friends in other classes to see how their teacher uses points and with the principal.
Keep in mind, the teacher does have lots of kids to teach. It is as hard to teach kids as it is to learn from teachers!
Try to treat everyone like you would like to be treated, and when you have lunch or recess, run around and get rid of some of your energy. Also, if you are having trouble understanding the lessons, hearing or seeing, please be sure to tell someone who will understand and do something about it. That may be a parent, teacher, principal, school nurse or friend's parent.

Maybe the better question is, do you think it's ok for you to act bad or be disruptive in class? Are you the only student in your class or are there others? Maybe your bad behavior is costing the other students points as they are unable to focus and pay attention in class. Maybe you should think about how your behavior effects your classmates and not just yourself.

No You earned those grades. If you are being bad you deserve to be reprimanded but not by your grade average.those grades are going to be very important for college.
Please talk to your parents or school counselor to intervene for you., and get this straightened out.And try real hard not to do anything bad.
I once had a teacher that just didn't like me cause I was poor.
Teachers are human too.
Try to apologize and give her a hand written note promising to do better.Good luck!!!!

No, that is wrong. Your behavior should have nothing to do with your grade.
Depending on what level of school you're in, you should have a citizenship grade which she should be marking instead.
I'd advise you to talk to her teacher about her policy after class sometime just to communicate your problems.

I think that if you are disruptive you should be kicked out of class AND lose points.

You are hurting other people's chances of obtaining a good grade. Sooner or later it might sink in; you are there to learn.
