This is realllllly dumb but does anyone know approx how many pieces of chicken breast you would get in 500gr? I know it depends on the size but I'm talking about the normal size pieces you'd get at the grocery store when they pack about 2-3 pieces in a pack.

Haha..thanks everyone for the tips. I actually have a bunch of them frozen in my freezer but have no clue how many pieces to use for this damn recipe which is asking for 500 gr (1lb). They're not very big and are boneless. I think I will try using about 4 pieces and hope for the best .=)
And no I'm not a perv...just hungry!!! LOL

Just remember recipes are guidelines!!! It doesn't have to be exactly one pound. A little over or under is not going to greatly affect the end result, but four normal sized breast sounds about right.

In the US, I've purchased a full boneless, skinless chicken breast (both sides of the chicken) and that weighed about 1.3 lbs which is just over 500 grams (500 grams is about 1.1 pounds). I bought them at the meat counter, which seemed larger than the prepackaged chicken breast.
If you're looking for 500 grams, and depending upon the size you can get buy with 2 to 4 breast (halves).

An average chicken breast bought at a grocery store weighs about 6 ounces, or 170 grams. So you are looking at about 2.94 breasts (round it off to 3). A serving size is considered 3-4 ounces or 6 for a 3oz serving, and 4-1/2 for a 4oz serving.
1oz = 28.3495 grams

The vast majority of market boneless chicken breasts are 6 oz breasts. So you would need no more than 3 chicken breasts. The only exception would be HEB brand frozen chicken breasts (which are usually only in Texas). Those tend to be huge...at least 8 oz.

All I can suggest is that you go to you local grocery or meat market and ask the butcher to weigh out a piece or two. Those butchers have a great deal of knowledge, I'm sure one of them could help you figure it out.

500 grams is just over a pound, so chicken breasts? It would depend on boned or not boned, but I would guess at least four with bones, and five or six without, depending on how thick they are.
