If you only "sometimes" feel lumpiness then it is probably just fibrocystic breasts which many women have. It is a good idea to very aware of any changes within your breasts though since you have a family history of the disease. You may want to let your doctor know (if you haven't already) that you do have a family history of breast cancer so that you can be more closely watched. Even though the lumpiness you feel is probably normal, it would be a good idea to get it checked out. If you continue to feel that something just isn't right then seek a second opinion. As for another person who posted on here, generally cancer tumors are not solid and perfectly round but it does happen. Supposedly it doesn't hurt, the shape is irregular, and you shouldn't be able to move it. These were not the cases for me, quite the opposite so if you feel like something isn't right then get it checked out until you are satisfied.

Call your Dr today, tell him what you found, and get a mammogram. Not all lumps are cancer. Some are benign. Another sign is dimpling. Hope this helps. Treatment varies from there. If it is cancerous, depending on size and stage they could recommend a lumpectomy or mastectomy. Radiation,or chemo, both, or none. It all varies. Good luck

my aunt had recently died from breast cancer too, she lived with it for 7 years actually and i would imagine how miserable it is to have it. the best suggestion is to go to your doctor and make sure about it, he'll be the only one to know. don't stress urself for nothing until u ask ur doctor. i had a friend with the same situation and she turned out to be fine. don't worry about it

Uneven lumps are common signs of breact cancer, but if you feel small roundish bumps then you're feeling your muscles.
This may help. It has a list of signs and symptoms, among other things:
