I am not sure exactly how to answer this but I will give it a shot. I think what you mean is that Christian women with a little money seem to be using that money to buy beauty products and seemingly unecessary items. Here is what you should keep in mind. When a Christian walks out of the house we are representing God Himself. We don't want to leave looking like we don't know what a brush, matching colors or soap is. Sometimes men and women take it over board. (Just so you know I am a Christian but I am not middle or high class. I still look my best when I walk out the door.) I don't want people to think that there is a bum preaching to them about Christ.

Most Pretty women are high maintenance. Christian women aren't always high maintenance, but maintaining their belief in a scientific world is.

No, do you expect Christian women to be drab, dull and boring?

High class Christian women want to be the best they can possibly be; interesting, intelligent, presentable and fun. No, this does not contradict Christian beliefs.

The Holy Bible says that your body is the temple (home) of the Holy Spirit and we are to take care of it. It takes high maintenance, especially the longer one lives.

Why do you even ask? Is there someone you know that causes you to compare other women. There is nothing wrong with being "high class". God expects us to be the best we can be and expect the best from Him as well. Enlarge the vision we want for ourselves. Just because we are believers in God doesn't mean we have to look a certain way but we should be on our best behavior at all times.

No, being high maintenance has nothing to do with being a Christian, however every girl wants to look her best no matter her religion.

Christianity as we know it is an expression of patriarchal capitalism.

Patriarchal capitalism is essentially an allegory for the way animals behave. It manifests in women in the form of a subservience to the paradigm of nuclear families where the man is the breadwinner and the woman keeps house.

In terms of sexuality such women are subject to the same allegory, except the desirability of the male for such purposes, rather than by his virility (as with beasts) is divined by his ability to provide for the woman and her potential offspring.

Such women necessarily thus require and desire a high standard of maintenance, as a means to select a suitable male, as well as to remain with them.

I think I was born high maintenance and that didn't change when I became a Christian. I don't nag, I just like to take care of myself...and my husband likes it that way too.

It is unfair to classify all as high maintenance. Would you want to be called white trash because of a few bad apples? Do black people appreciate being called ni***rs because of their skin color? For those who find that word offensive- the term acutally means a member of a socially disadvantaged class of persons (although usually used as a racial slur). Do hispanics like being refered to as spics? Does anyone from the middle east like being called towel heads or terrorists because of a minority group who took it upon themselves to do something terrible to others?

All women are high maintenance regardless of their religious affiliation, race, social status, physical attributes, or what have you. The fact remains, they are all of high maintenance, and they will never be otherwise.
