The Malt Beverage Market went Boom. There were just TOO many Malt Beverages competing on the market and the bar cooler spaces for all of them to make it. In the vodka category alone you had Smirnoff, Stoli and Skyy competing. Sauza and Cuervo were competting in Tequilla, and Jack Daniels made the single worst entry into the category, trying to make a Jack and Coke malt beverage in a bottle (it was horrible). Captain Morgans entry wasn't much better, and the Malt Beverage market tried to expand at the same time as the Low Carb Craze, when Michelob Ultra became one of the primary forces in bottled beers.

I agree, it's a shame it's not available. It was probably the best drink out there.

There was a court case here in Arkansas over what distributor would carry it. Then we got it after 5 months wait. We had it for a couple months, but the hype was gone by then so the liquor stores stopped carrying it.
