The answer is a big resounding no!!! The government has become the puppeteer for big business. The Constitution is under siege and the working class don't know it. Look at the Arnold bill before congress. They are working to change the Constitution for Arnold Schwarzenegger can run for President. There are reason why a foreign born should not become President to the United States. If you can't figure out why then your don't deserve to a free person. This bill is the precursor to internal foreign envision. There are many other example there for all to see if people would just get of their assess and do their home work.

We still have many of the freedoms that were fought for. In some respects, we've become even more free (such as the abolition of slavery and the right of women to vote frecognized). In other respects, we've become less free.

Well, since our forefathers came here to set up a repressive theocracy, you may live to see us get the society they (the pre-constitution colonists) dreamed of.

they do, but the religious freedoms have been pushed aside, because we don't "practice" them, or at least not all of this country. i wish they wouldn't do it though

Sadly some have been repressed, but none have actually been taken away.
