get GHD straighteners there pricey but good use loads of product before using them because often use of any straighteners and damage your hair and once you go there , theres no going back, and whats wrong with curly hair! curls are great

It works, but I don't know if you will like the results. After using a home straightening kit, my hair was straight but it was still thick and course. After a couple weeks the hair started to break and it got really frizzy. I had to wear it in a pony tail or bun for a looooong time - until gradually all the processed hair was cut off. I've heard the only "permanent" straightening that does not damage your hair is the Japanese method, but it costs upwards of $400 and you need to have it done professionally every 3 months. So I only have my hair straightened at a salon for special occasions.

well they def work, I used to get my hair straightened all the time but I always went to the salon. I tried straightening my hair myself but I didn't do that great of a job... you can burn your head with the chemicals if you leave it on too long or have recently brushed or scratched your scalp... you have to do touch ups once you start because when the hair grows out the straighted vs. new curly growth will cause the hair to break. In my opinion you should do it at the salon if you want to use chemicals.

Otherwise try straightening using a blowdryer with a comb on the end and the following up with a flat iron... of course this takes a while but it is much healthier for your hair than using chemicals and you can always go back to curly hair whenever you want.

I have, but had my cousin apply the lotion to my hair. Please do not risk this at home. Straightening lotion is much more stronger than the ones used for perms (although similar). The straightener has to be kept away from the scalp as otherwise the hair follicles can get damaged. In my opinion straightening is best kept for a professional to do. I would go for a relaxer which is milder on hair.

yeah. I bought one at Rite Aid called "EasyStraight". It's probably the same one you saw, too. For me, I didn't notice a big difference. It was $30 dollars, and not really worth it. Online and on Y!Answers all they did was say that it would ruin my hair, but it hasn't ruined it at all. It made it a little easier to blow dry and straighten, but not stick straight, and it certaintly did not live up to my expectations. If you want real results, invest in professional straightening.
