He says he's looking for a "good woman" and wants to get married. But when the friendship progresses to him asking me to dinner and generally becoming more intimate - he's too busy? Am I just not a "good woman"? What is up with him, guys?

No - we are not even close to marriage. Only mentioned it because it is in his mind as something he wants at some point with someone.

Guys just get frightened my commitment easily. Honestly, guys always say women are difficult to understand but they're the real confusing sex. I'm convinced they just never mature--they're always boys at heart. If he doesn't have the time for you, I suggest moving on. There are good guys out there that will fulfill all of your needs.

Why is it that if a woman doesn't get what she wants, it's his problem? He doesn't have a problem with commitment...you do. You expect him to live within your time frame and your ideas of what to expect. It's like he doesn't get a say in the matter.

He should dump you now, clearly you are self-centered and controlling. He needs to run from you as fast and far as possible and find a real "good woman".

There is a lot to be said for taking things slow. Last thing either of you want is to get married and then meet the guy or girl of your dreams.
