The best thing to do is step back. You can still be her friend, but don't get in the way of her relationship. If it fails, let it do so on its own and not because of anything you've done. Then, if it's not a good relationship and it falls apart, you'll be the first one she'll come to. Best wishes!

the smartest thing you can do in this situation is to relax and see how things turn out (Let Fate take it's course), your doing the absolute right thing by being her friend and being there for her when she needs you. Most of the best relationships start off as being good friends so who knows, you say things are going bad between her and this other guy I'd say just wait and see what happens, they might breakup and that could be your opportunity BUT!! if you just happen to come across someone you really like don't blow them off just because you think you might have a chance with this girl that would be stupid because you could be passing up on a good thing all because you were waiting for your chance with this girl when in reality it's posibble it might not happen then you might have messed up big time and passed up a real good thing hope this advice helps Good luck

WEll first of all i would say if she's not happy in her relationship that she's having "major" problems as her friend you should talk to her and maybe the best thing for her to do is break-up. Just because she confides in you doesn't mean she has feelings for you, or because you feel that way. If you really like her that much tell her how you feel. BUT be careful because she might not feel the same way and it might end your friendship with her some people don't like things like that. All i gotta say is good luck

I would stay friends and wait things out, but I would also let her know how you feel, but not in a way to throw yourself on her, just to let her know.. Like.. when she comes to confide in you sometime about how things are going wrong just let her know I am here for you as a friend.. I do have more feelings for you than friendship, but if that is all you want between us, I would rather have that then nothing at all. You know in a way to tell her, you are more than happy to have the chance to have a friendship with her, but if she ever wants more than that your there..

Keep her in your life if you care about her. You have nothing to lose but a little rejection. And, you can recover from that in time. If you care for her, let her know how you feel. Don't be a chicken sh**.

i think all you can do at this point is be patient. maybe if she sees your interested in someone else it might cause her to really re think her relationship. if she knows u will always be there, she kinda has the best of both worlds.......
