I am in traffic all day with my job. Smokers roll burning butts over my hood every day all day. Car makers took ash trays out of cars. What are they supposed to do with their burning butts then, and is throwing them out the car window considered littering and illegal?

They could start a forest fire (or even a residential fire). I hope that any officer who sees this will pull the person over and give them a citation. That is horribly irresponsible. Besides the soda can suggestion someone gave, how about quitting smoking? I did (a long time ago).

Stop smoking. The government is trying to save peoples lives by outlawing smoking but people obviously want the right to kill themselves. I have never heard a story of someone who smoked (cig or weed) and something great happened to them(that wasn't lewd.) Littering is illegal b/c this is not our world to destory. "The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein." (Psalms 24:1) We belong to God(our bodies are temples of God) as well as the earth. When you see those people do that simple pray that God would touch their hearts and make the taste of nicotine disgusting to them.

Yes it is illegal. At least in Texas it is. They consider that littering. As a smoker myself, I just use a half full soda can to put them out!
