Well yesterday i picked up a Free Boxer/ Pittbull/ Chow mut and todays the first day ive had him , the breeder says that the pups are 8 weeks old but i dont know for sure , early when i came by the pups where playing and everything else , when i came back later they where all laying down so i picked up a brown one.

Last night was the first time ive had her and she would whine everytime i would walk away from her witch i think is normal for a pup that has just got taken away from there mother. I had her laying on my chest as i was laying down to and she started to shake and whimper violently , it scared me so i woke her up, i dont what to make of it ??
The puppy also shakes alot and doesnt seem very active , i try to wave her over or when i put her down outside she walks about 1 - 2 steps and lays down

Any time you get a new animal the first thing you do is take them to the vet and have them checked out. Puppies always have worms and need to be dewormed. Worms can kill your dog if not treated and this could also be the cause of him being so lethargic. Yes she could just need time adjusting but I suggest taking her to the vet and having her checked out.

She is in a new place and probably scared. You should take her to the vet and make sure there is not a medical problem with her. The whinny thing is normal, but don't pick her up every time she whines because if you do, she will know how to get your attention and will do it constantly. She is like a kid, got to set your rules up front. Her not walking much outside could just be her being young and not wanting to do anything but be a baby and lay around. Surround her with stuff animals at night to get her use to being alone, but also having comfort from another warm fuzzy thing... Having a puppy is rough the first month, but once they get use to you and their surroundings it will be a blast!

I just bought a boxer in January from a breeder and he did the same thing. At first they have seperation anxiety which is normal because he is just a puppy. He also used to have "puppy dreams" where he would whine, shake, bark and even move his legs really fast like he was running. It all stopped after a few weeks and now hes fine. Every now and then he snores really bad (its so cute) but its normal. Make your puppy sleep in a kennel so he/she knows thats their place to be. Its not good for them to sleep with you when they are so young because it makes them more vulnerable and too much attached to you where its become obsessive. Hope that helps! Have fun with your new puppy they grow fast! :)

Oh and puppies do sleep alot. Thats what mine did then a few weeks later he got more active. Dont take him for walks yet, wait til he gets all of his first shots (its like 3 or 4) to protect him from getting sick because he can pick up diseases and heartworms if he is in a public place without having the vaccinations.

Take that dog to the vet. Puppies are very fragile. She might be sick. Whenever you get a new dog, the very next thing you should do is go to the vet!

I think she just misses the other dogs and mom.
