Go shot some pool. that is always my favorite way to break the ice. Also you get a great view while your there. And extra points if she is wearing a low cut shirt!

Hang out at some outdoor shopping center where you can grab a bite to eat, have a drink or catch a movie....try to avoid the movie since the point is to get to know her and movies just don't do that.

make her dinner and then go to the beach for a romantic walk under the stars and if you dont know how to cook then eat out then take her to the movies and let her pick the movie no matter what it is just say okay it shoud be good then go for a romantic starlit walk on the beach or maybe go dancing

Find a comedy club, go roller skating, or something out of the ordinary where you can laugh and enjoy yourselves. The movies and dinner can be dull. Do something more active.

I don't know that area but whatever you do don't go to the movies....go have a nice dinner,talk and get to know the person first before you take her to the movies...b/c once you go inside a movie theater you have to stay quiet and it doesn't give you a chance ask her question or answer question....unless your going to the movies just to make-out :P

Take her to a small but classy sushi restaurant or a foreign food type of place. This way together, you can laugh through your first experience... it will ease the tension and make for great conversation!
