at the end of your marriage, I believe in what the Lord says and want to hang on and live with my husband until one or the other dies, but, how does one "let go and let God" and how do I know what He is telling me? I love my husband but, we have some serious issues, he refuses to discuss and counsleing is out of the question...I can lean only on God. What do some of you Christian's out there think?

The pastor there has a toll free # & can give you some good Godly guidance & advice.

A good book to read is "Power of a Praying Wife" by Stormie Omartian. The Lord has restored my marriage by surrendering to Him & heartfelt prayers. Don't give up!

Numbers 6:24-26
24 “The LORD bless you and keep you;

25 The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;

26 The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”’

Does the Lord really say that if you are absolutely miserable and unhappy - that you have to remain that way? Marriage may have been a great idea back in his day - but think about it - what other options were there for women back then? No one can afford to be unhappy, trapped, suffer abuse, etc...in today's world --too many other options. It's a different day - and there are different ways to deal with things. You will know when enough is enough - and you shouldn't feel like you are letting the Lord down. You're only letting yourself down by thinking he wouldn't be able to forgive you.

The Bible DID give a few reasons a divorce is accepted by God, look them up. Deuteronomy 24:1-4 could be for either a man or a woman. Also Matt. 5:32 is for a man or a woman.

I suggest YOU go speak to a christain counselor or pastor- even if he won't.
Because if there are problems you do need someone to talk to, and they can better explain what needs to be done, from a biblical point of view.
Continue to pray that the Lord will break your husband of his hard heart in wanting to make things work--is he saved?
Just keep praying for him in the mean time and talk to someone even if it is by yourself~

I cant pretend to know your whole situation, but i do know this. God does NOT want you to get a divorce. If you care to discuss it in more detail, im avail either by email or IM.

Do you belong to a church? Can your pastor help with the discussion? How are your husband's parents? Can they help?
