Age - Physically, 31. Mentally, somewhere between 6 & 60, depending on the day.

Gender - female

Home state - California, USA (at least, it was when I lived there!)

The Bible should be taken in small doses to allow time for simmering on the proverbial back burner. ;-) Okay, based on your three options, b) Allegorically, although I think that is an oversimplification.

51. Female. Ontario (Province).
a) The old testament is about the Law, how the Justice System came about (Moses), and History. People were Judged at first, on the Foundational Laws, the Ten Commandments. These were to be taken, a) Literally.
b) The new testament should be taken both allegorically, and prophetically significant for us today.
c) I think Revelation should be taken very seriously. It is a Historians summation of the First Century, and prophetic words for us today.

Some parts of the Bible are literal, and some are allegoretical. Even the literal parts shouldn't be taken solely at face value, however. That's why we need specially trained clergymen to help us understand it.

I will not post my age gender (although obvious) and definately NOT where I live--But I will say that I believe the Bible is to be taken literally--whole heartedly and that it is infallable, the ENTIRE word is God's word. Of course a lot of it is symbolic, but it should all be taken seriously.

Sure. I'm 55/F/California. The bible is not all literal. There are many ways it communicates with us. Some is literal, some is symbolic, some is parable, some is hyperbole (exaggeration to underscore a particular point). I do believe all of scripture is given by inspiration of God.
