Been there, done that!

Its really upsetting, but you'll need to consider the lighting used in the store, versus the lighting in your home. You may also want to see if the furniture store will take it back. Some funiture stores realize that items don't fit within the owners idea or decor once delivered to their home. You may only have a few days to return it though... act fast!

It depends on your lighting level versus the store lighting level. Ask the shop if you can view the sample at your home. If the sofa is still lighter than the sample in the same location with the same lighting, take it back and get a refund.

Yes. Dye lots can vary a bit.

Also a small sample doesn't show how the light will play upon the piece in your home and your lighting situations. This is why you need to bring home a sizeable fabric sample and critique the color in your home in varying light situations.

Sorry.

Different types of light bulbs give off different types of light. The store had different ones than you have in your home. So, yes--this is normal. And there really isn't anything you can do--your contract with the store probably says returns can be done in the event of defects in workmanship, etc.. This is not a defect. Sorry.

I agree w/ Pimal.

Somethings look different in variations of light. As I have found out in the fabric I bought to re~do the pillow covers on my couch.

I would hope & think they'd take it back. Or give/find U 1 in the right color the next go around.

Lots of luck~
