i mean i am disgusted by what i just saw people saying spanish should be banned from america get caught you pay a fine get caught again be out in jail?! they should round em up and ship them out!? i mean it brings tears to my eyes,my parents are from here as am i,but i dont understand why racism exists, our skin color has nothing to do with our personality,i know everyone is enitiles to their opinion but i feel racism is just awful,i mean the fact that what these people wrote brought tears to my eyes just shocks me theres millions of immigrants here who came for simply a better life and are at least trying to learn english, and for the people who may burn the american flag, its due to the personality not race

Racism will end when the world ends and there are no more human beings.
But not wanting illegal aliens in this country is not about race its about the impact of their blatant illegality and its negative effect on our nation.

I have no idea, however I believe you. If ppl do think racist closer to me, it is only on-line, b/c out in public I don't have any disorders. As a question of truth a white guy attempted flirting w/me within the grocery retailer, and my white dentist & nurse have been simply the friendliest in these days, and so was once their white workplace. I had a pleasant dialog with an Asian girl & whilst I went to Autozone the hispanic man operating there was once all smiles. He even helped me appear at some thing beneath the hood of my automobile. These losers on-line are an anomaly. I believe there may be most likely racism available in the market, however such a lot ppl do not consciousness on it everyday like those chumps do. I wager I'll return to consuming my popcorn and looking my film. Same ol equal ol race hating occurring right here.

EVERYONE is racist to an extent including Latinos. If you read the posts from the Latinos on this message board, their comments are some of the most racist here.
By the way, racism these days has nothing to do with skin color. It has to do with the behavior of a large percentage of an ethnic group. These days, most illegal immigrants are Mexican, and the parasitic BEHAVIOR of these people is what causes American citizens to be so angry and disgusted.
Bottom line: If you don't want people to hate you, don't do anything illegal and don't expect freebies from taxpayers!
By the way, it is dangerous to have people in the USA who do not speak English because during an emergency people cannot understand each other. It is also expensive because every business now needs a translator all because Latino immigrants don't want to bother learning English. If you don't want to learn our language, don't move here! If I moved to a Spanish-speaking country, I would learn Spanish as soon as possible!

Illegals are breaking the law to start with,Do you think its ok to break the law?And once they are in America do you seriousley think they can get by without breaking the law time after time?I am certainly not racist because I think its wrong for illegals to destroy my country.Dont preach to me about immigrants, the ones who founded this nation worked hard and fought in wars to have the freedoms we have, the illegal ones mooch off the government and ravage this land, burn my flag, fill my prisons, make it so my kids are less educated, and shut my hospitals down.It really doesnt matter what I think, when the government is done being greedy ,and the corps are done with the slaves, and Americans are tired of freeloaders, they will still be sent back to mexico where they should be,they should fight for their own country, instead of comming here and belittleing themselves. And instead of trying to make my country like their own.Because lets face it,the towns they have taken over might as well be 3rd world class.when our kids get home from Iraq,do you think it will bother them to defend America again if they have to?They are not fighting for this country for nothing. And I dont agree spansih shouldnt be spoken in America,Im just saying it should be by legal hispanics.Que pasa.....

I didn't see the post you are referring to, but most people on here are venting frustration against illegal immigration. Too much immigration of a single group of people does in fact make assimilation a lengthier process because it is so much more 'comfortable' just to go where their own language is being spoken.
However, the post you quote sounds ridiculous. I am against illegal immigration, but not against Hispanics. I wish you and your family well.
However, as a matter of semantics, Hispanics are not a race. That is why there is that little box to check for 'white - non-Hispanic' on all of the forms. It is just a diversity classification. Which isn't to say prejudice might not exist, it just isn't 'racism'.

First off, a lot of racists oppose illegal immigration. That doesn't mean, however, that everyone who opposes illegal immigration is a racist. I think that's an important distinction to make.
That said, racism persists because people refuse to be educated. It's easier to lash out at people's differences than it is to make the effort to understand them.

there is always going to be racism as long as parents teach there kids that some people are better than others. Most people are upset with the immigrants because they are violating our laws. We can't open our borders to the world. If people would enter this country legally that is entirely different. And as guests here they should be sent home for not obeying our laws. And one law should be to speak English.

Obvisiouly you are confused....what you are saying does not have anything to do with racism. Lets clarify some things, From Webster: Main Entry: rac·ism
Pronunciation: 'rA-"si-z&m also -"shi-
Function: noun
1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2 : racial prejudice or discrimination
This will never go away, it goes on between every single race. It started back with the Indians, the slavery, etc. It is being taught from generation to generation and will always exsist. It is ignorant people that think someone is different simply because of their skin color. It makes me sick as well. I am white and my fiance is black and we have to deal with peoples slurs, looks, etc. I say we have to deal with it because we choose to be together despite what people say or do because we love each other for who we are, we don't let it bother us. Now as far as the immigration things go...I have several cousins who are married to or dating illegal alliens. I do think this is wrong. I do believe you should only be allowed to be in this country if you are a United States Citizen. Nothing is wrong with wanting to better yourself but we have to live by the laws of our land so should every one else. If you want to live in the U.S.A. then do it the legal way. As far as banning spanish, I don't think we should ban it because we do have freedom of speech but I do think the requirements for being a U.S. Citizen is to learn, speak and comprehend the English language. As Americans we should not have to learn another language unless we want to do so ourselves. I speak this off of experience, I got turned down on a job that I really really wanted because I WAS NOT BI-LINGUAL. So tell me was that right? No, I am here in my own country where I was born and raised but yet I am being discriminated against because I don't speak another countries language? I totallly disagree with that.

And they immediately play the racist card! I read your question, and it breaks my heart that racism will always be around. People who do not understand something will typically attack it, make fun of it, and put everyone with that one thing that they do not understand in that category. I was guilty of it when I was in school, 3 grade and I will never forget it. She was a black girl that was new in school, and to make it worse for her she was the first in my elementary school. she was different and she became the one that I picked on, because I was scared and uneducated, and raised not to like black people. Thank God it happened to me(3years later) in return and made me realize the terrible pain I caused her. I am doing my best to raise my kids differently, and to be open and willing to learn rather than to judge. And by the way THAT BLACK GIRL became my best friend and we even dated for about 2 years when I returned to that school. It all starts with the parents and what values they instill in their children. So teach your children to love all people no matter of their color, shape,or even their eye color.

I cannot answer for people who make racist remarks, as I am not one of them. However, I do understand the difference between legal immigration and illegal aliens. And, I don't want illegal aliens here, of any race or nationality. Just as I welcome all legal immigrants - of any race or nationality. There is much focus on the Spanish speaking groups, simply for the fact that it comprises the largest amount of both legal and illegal activity. The Irish have had their turn in the past, as have Germans, and Italians, and on and on...
