Many young people don't take into consideration what a real date is. It is not two people just meeting at the mall after their parents or older sibling drops them off, or walking two miles to the closest movie theatre and holding hands and making out. And it's definitely not one that you have to ask your parents if you can go on!!! A real date happens when the guy or girl oficially asks the other person out, picks them up, they enjoy a movie, or dinner together, have intelectual conversation, and have a good time. At the end of the date, there is always an option of whether they want to end the date there or continue on. Until someone is at that level, it isn't really called dating yet. My first real date was not until I was 19.
