Well it depends on how you reacted to being slapped.

a) Leave - would be the best option if you were just as worked up because at that point you are only going to make things worse. Shouting and insulting each does not make the problem better, just makes it worse. Then its best just to give each other space to cool down, but don't leave it too long. When both of you are calm you should then try to sort it out

b) Sort it out - if you had a cool head, it may be best to try to calm her down and see if you can sort out the problem that started the fight and hopefully get her to apologise for slapping you.

I would walk away an if she has any sense even if you were in the wrong she should come to you slapping is not nice, and she should apologise if she cares for you then use can seat down and solve the problem which started the argument in the first place

It depends on how many more times in your relationship your willing to take a slap. If its not your cup of tea, you should probably leave. If you slapped her back she damn sure wouldn't do it again but I can't recommend that because 2 wrongs don't equal a right. I can't say I'd blame you though if you did.

After everything has calmed down, and you both fit to talk, its important to tell her that what she had done, is the first step to a stormy relationship. One can't lose control of the situation and slap your loved one, there, the respect is totally lost.

If you are to stay together, this is the first thing you both need to do.

Good luck.

a slap in the face after a shouting match is mearly the heat of the moment and does not constitute a violent relationship, if however the violence continues in any other form, then there is concern, as violence has no part in a loving relationship, so see if this is a one off, and take it from there. but do not let it escalate as it could turn nasty, and no relationship should endure violence, under any circumstance, none

kick the effing sheeet out of her, throw a jaw punch, take out a pocket knief. When she calls the cops, say that her cuts and bruises were in self defense. Act like the victom. If they try to arrest you, blow out their faces with a .38

say i probably deserved that and start having a calm conversation just tell her what she wants to hear even if its not true. only walk out if youre not going to come back and leave without a secound thought. but if you love her dont do it.
