Does anyone know what causes them? I have some here and there that have appeared on my body but have never had them before.
Does that Palmers cream really work?
Summer is coming which means time at the pool so I need to know how to get rid of them.
I am curious. Thank you to anyone who answers!

Stretch marks come with rapid weight gain or loss. Some of the creams do work, but everyone is different. I am 5 months pregnant and I gained over 20lbs I only have 3-4 of them. None on my breasts or tummy yet. Thank GOD. I do however use alot of creams, and take fish oil pills, vitamin e and drink 2 litters of water per day. If your worried, start early and do something now. Use Palmer's Olive Oil natural Organic Body Butter in with green label, got it at Target. Walmart has it too. Not cheap but worth it:)

Its a normal part of puberty for most boys and girls from growing and losing weight. Most people have them, so you're not alone.

At first they may come up as purplish or reddish lines, but they may lighten up or disappear. However that does not always happen for everybody.

If you dont spend much time in the water, you can use body makeup that matches your skin tone.

There are a lot of creams available, but there is no way to get rid of marks without the help of a dermatologist or plastic surgeon.

As far as the summer try boy short bathing suits if they are on your lower body or high-neck bathing suits if they are on your upper body.

Hope that helps!

SORRY. There is no way to get rid of them. Palmers will lighten them up but that's about it. You'd actually have to remove the piece of skin to get rid of stretch marks. But they can put a man on the moon. Go figure.

stretch marks are caused by rapid weight loss or gain, your skin is expanding at a deeper level, since it expanding at a deeper level that means theres no way to get rid of them since we only shed the top layer of our skin. If they are red, they will eventually fade to a ghostly white color. Its pretty common for people to have stretch marks, a lot of men have them as well.

Cocoa butter will only help soften the ridges of the stretch marks, but will not decrease them or lighten them. it may help them to seem less prominate, but i highly doubt anyone is going to really notice them when summer roles around.

Palmers is a good brand but get the one that is most concentrated, not the lotion type. it is usually in a tub like container, or i dont know the name of it but it is a tube of 100 percent cocoa butter, it is easier to apply, and is only a dollar at the drug store.

There is no getting rid of stretch marks (trust me, after having a baby, I know)
If they are still new (pink) you can treat them and make them fade slightly with a scar cream. Tanning helps cover them up as well. Just dont get sunburned, they will be redder than your normal areas.

Sudden changes in weight (loosing, gaining etc rapidly) will give you those- especially pregnancy. There is no way to get rid of them once you have them, but you can prevent it to certain degree by using cocoa butter and massaging the area.
