I know what you must be going through i,ve gone through the same thing. I took my puppy to a very reputable dog trainer hes worked with dogs in the movies very good and he suggested to me a complete dry dog food with a protean level of 18-20% this should help with the hyperactivness and the one that i am using at the moment is called doctor john gold its only 7 pounds for 15 kg sack which is an added bonus. I have an American bull dog and he is doing fine on this its given his coat a lovely shine to hope this helps you. Good luck hope this is of some help.

I can absolutely suggest a great dog food brand with good, healthy levels of protein! High protein is surely the cause of the increase of energy in your collie. I am a Veterinarian Tech and feed my dogs Timberwolf Organics. Our clinic highly recommends this brand due to this is quite frankly the best food we have seen made for canines. There are no fillers and is the closest to human -grade we have found. www.timberwolforganics.com
Good luck! Remember.. when switching over foods please make it atleast a 3 week process to prevent diahhrea. Slowely mix in the new food with the old until you have completely switched over. You don't want to upset your dogs tummy!

Have you tried Natures Recipe? It is quite good dog food and I believe they have a low protein.

I make my own dogfood. Try it. You control exactly what goes into their bodies and can change it at any time.
