I reckon they will send in the SBS to get them out of there once they find them.

SBS rock!
SAS suck!

SBS means Special Boat Sevice, they are the sea equilivant to the SAS but much more highly trained.

The SBS used to just take applicants from the ROYAL MARINES and NAVY only but now with the joint UKSF (united kingdom special forces) they take people from all services and if you are fit enough some civilians.

SBS are like the NAVY SEALS

Solider1, you make me laugh! you said your not gunna say which unit your in but it has been mentioned! what the point in saying that? you might as well tell us! nobhead.

also....this taken from a website about SBS vs SAS,

"With the SBS (until recently) drawing its ranks from the Royal Marines, it is suggested that an SBS operator has a greater level of experience of soldiering than many of their SAS counterparts.
The demands of working in the water demands a higher level of fitness and mental toughness than the SAS.
The lower public profile of the SBS allows for more covert operations and it is said that the MOD have problems with the more maverick elements within the SAS."

Thats the trouble with the sas they have a very big mouth, they boast too much!

I dont claim to be in a unit, i have done 8 years of research on the SAS vs SBS arguement and what i have said is my opions and also facts written from serving members of the special forces.

In two books by ex-SBS men, First into Action by Duncan Falconer and Black Water by Don Camsel, the Special Air Service are portrayed as arrogant, gung-ho cowboys who's attitude leads to several operations in Northern Ireland going awry.

The only reason why the SAS get full of hot air is all because of what happened in 1980. a little bit of limelight and your all celebs! woopedoo LOL

What choice do civilized people have when confronting savages? We have better weapons and the moral high ground. They want British soldiers? Send them several hundred thousand more and some Americans along side them.

Peculiar ideas some people have about the SAS. They are primarily an observation force, although at times they are called on to take deadly action. As for the SBS being higher trained -b******s. The SAS has a boat squadron as well. But this is not the type of operation that the special forces take the initiative with. They are there, but I do not expect to hear of any involvement by them. What I am annoyed about is that the woman captive seems to be receiving special treatment. That cannot be right . Women want equality, so she should stay true to her fellow captives, and not be so simpering and weak. I am not saying in what unit I served but it has been mentioned. Edit: All right then SAS. But you will regret calling me names. Check your facts. What have you served in , apart from knickers and tights in Bristol ?

I'm afraid that some of the service men and women don't won't to come home for fear of being treated like the government treated the vietnam vets. they're living on the streets collecting welfare at least some of them. the government forgot about them. this is starting to happen again as evidence by the poor treatment in the hospital facilities. i think they would rather die than be left alone with no benefits or slim benefits for pain and suffering. it's a mess.

Iran knows Britain (and others) have mothballed half their fleet.
They would not be encouraged to be BARBARY PIRATES
if Britain "ruled the waves".
Might borrow a US ship...put on some atomic cannon and smoke some PIRATES! AKA TERRORISTS!
If they kill hostages...we must smoke so many of them that they regret ever messing with us.
Unfortunately that usually requires killing RELATIVES of the RULERS! Like Quomini of Syria or Jordan.
A niece got killed because of HIM and the females probably changed his mind about being a snake.

If you want to inspire change with the United States current policy about the middle east i would recommend contacting your congressman. These people are supposed to be our voice, share your opinion and see what he can do for you.

Looking at some of the comments posted by what I assume are fellow Brits,
You guys should just probably bend over, and do nothing.

I hope not, I hope Britain regains its coj0nes and does something. (Besides giving Iran a stern talking-to, of course).

Attack them. They got nothing.
Did anyone else see that Iran warned the U.S. against invasion? They said something about the will to fight... I cracked up it was pretty funny.
