I'm just wondering cause I cook in tap water and I was wondering if I boil the water, if that kills the lead particles. thanks

Oh my stars! Your avatar!!! Is that what happens to one who drinks too much lead in their water. *just teasing* hope you have a sense of humor and not offended.

However back 2 your question: boiling water will reduce some of the lead but not all. My suggestion and I won't tell you do anything that I would not do myself: purchase a filtering system for the faucet or one of those filtering pitcher. I'm currently using a Brita. I want to one day purchase an ultraviolet filtering system.

Boiling water kills bacteria. Lead is not a bacteria, it is a metal, therefore you cannot kill it because it isn't alive. Boiling water with metals like lead in it will not do anything to the metal - not even a little bit. In fact, cooking with hot tap water can actually make the problem worse.

Many many homes have lead in water because lead solder used to hold plumbing pipes together was not banned until 1987. It is a serious problem and the National Safety Council has information on how to overcome this problem. No, you need to buy a water filter that filters out the lead. They are easy to find on the web

no that wont help in any respect you should purchase some bottle water for them and ensure its spring mineral water the affection that water or eny much less high priced food market water can artwork to ??
