Hi. How do i remove dried paste from the surface of new wallpaper? I have tried warm water but no joy.?

I have just papered my hallway with some heavy weight dark red paper (looks great) but there are dried paste marks everywhere. I need something to remove the shiny paste marks without removing or damaging the wallpaper. Any home remedies out there?

Add a little dish liquid to the warm water (as warm as you can stand)

Add some fabric softener, and let it sit on the paper, for a minute or 2.

Try some sugar soap you can buy it from most diy shops"try it first somewhere you wont notice" and dont rub too hard
