What??? Seriously! It is not that people don't care - they just need to put food on their own tables, too. A lot of the people who are asking for money are trying to take advantage of other people - other times they are professional beggars who borrow other people's children to make more money on the sympathy angle. Some beggars make more money than those who they are begging from. Seriously. I don't have a job right now, either - and I have a child to feed and clothe. I am not putting a euro in someone's hand who is just going to use that for drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes. Please.
I do care about other people - I donate clothes, give money during fund raising events, try to help out in ways that are controlled and where I know that my money will not just line someone's greedy pocket. Chidren's hospitals, humaine societies, homeless shelters, food banks - that is where I give my money.

There are many reasons people don’t give money. In some cases people may feel that they worked hard for their money and they should have the benefit of spending it. Other people may feel that if I can work hard for a paycheck, then so can any other able bodied person, so why should I give up my money to someone who is not doing anything to help their situation-but beg. In a nutshell, I think if a person doesn’t know what their money is going to be used for then they are reluctant to give up their hard earned money.

I volunteer at a Homeless Shelter, and most get all of their meals, clothing and needs met. Any money they get goes for Booze and drugs. You only contribute when you give money! Don't believe me? Next time someone asks for money to eat, tell them you have a sandwich, or come on I'll buy you a sandwich, as see if they go with you! Don't be a SAP!

why should we give money to those ridiculous beggars that have the opportunity to work and get ahead in life.they are no different from other people that struggle to live their life. Frankly I don't care because that person chose to live that way and beg for money, its different when the person has no arms or legs

Its not that peopel dont care, its just some people dont want to hear excuses as to why your life is so pathetic. noone gave me any hand outs what makes u so special! Be and adutl take care of yourself, dont accept excuses, why should people get money for being lazy! nothign in life is free!

alot of people dont care they look at like why should i give you money its not my fault your life is crap and you did nothing to better yourself and they wont even give them a dime. but anytime someone asks me for money i atleast give them some loose change if ive got it

first of all how much of the money asked for actually does not go to the cause-often it is much.,thus one reason.
what is the cause is it petty considering the other needs.,thus another reason.
people can't give to every cause.,thus another reason.
some people live day to day paycheck to paycheck,thus another reason.

Most people are not rich.And there are a lot of scammers out there too .They don't trust that people who are begging really need it for food.Some people out there want to do away with welfare entirely.I hope that dosen't happen.
