it dpends how much she ate.
if it was only a little she should be fine. Most people think of chocolate as a poison if a dog gets it. Dont worry about it. My dog once snatched a 1 lb. fudge bar and didnt get sick. And my dogs only 65 pounds. It only makes dogs sick when they eat chocolate on a regular basis or too much at a time. Just dont worry too much about it. But if you are a new owner and are very protective, then dont be afraid to talk to your vet about dogs and chocolate.
Hope i was of help to you.

Theobromide is the toxic ingredient in chocolate that effects dogs. The higher the content the more toxic. Generally you can assume that the more expensive the chocolate the higher the theobromide content.
It is also the fat content in chocolate that effects the pancreas and cause major problems when the pancreas shuts down.
If your dog starts vomiting or has diahrea then it's vet time.
If you notice your dog panting or seems to be anxious, paces arouond or appears to be high, then she is experiencing poisoning and should be examined and treated.
I would say that chocolate ice cream isn't all that dangerous but you never know.
And, the larger the dog, the more it takes to poison them.

Not sure if a small amount would hurt them.
My dog once ate a 1/4 pound of chocolate. The vet suggested I force feed him some hydrogen peroxide. He gave up the chocolate and the peroxide won't hurt them. Just be sure and keep an eye on the dog until they get rid of it and clean it up right away or they might.well you know. YUK!

She will probably be fine. The most she will probably get is diarrhea. Its the dark chocolate or bakers chocolate that's bad for dogs.Chocolate ice cream is diluted with milk so its not as bad as if she ate a candy bar.

She'll be sick. If she ate a lot of ice cream (more than a few licks), then you should call a vet.
The ice cream may have only artificial chocolate flavor, too. She should be OK, then. But, if there is any real cocoa in the ice cream, she'll get sick.

She'll be fine. It's the Dark chocolate that can really cause problems..but if that is all she got was some ice cream spilled on the floor..i'm betting she won't have any problems.

If she hasn't shown any symptons of being sick, she's probably fine. If it was a lot of chocolate, and she's acting strange, take her to her vet. immediately. Someone I know's puppy ate an ENTIRE box of chocolates when no one was home, and she's fine =) So if it wasn't a lot of chocolate, I'm sure she'll be fine. I hope she is!!!!!!

As long as it's a small amount you are fine! My little 20lb dogs has eaten boxes of chocolate before... my vet finally got tired of me called about it (she did it 4 times in 3 days!!!) and finally told me that if you dog eats a lot you can give them a VERY tiny amount of peroxide and that will make them throw up. Again a very SMALL amount! And if you have to do that make sure you have them outside.. it hits them almost instantly!

If you do not notice a difference in how she acts then she is perfectly fine! Just make sure you clean up messes on the floor before she can get to them next time! Hope this helps!

The whole "chocolate is bad for dogs" thing is wrong. All of my dogs have eaten chocolate everything and anything and have all been fine. You have nothing to worry about. My mom's dog ate leftover ice cream and all that up until she died at the age of 13.
