Is it $40.00 each year ($120.00) since 2003 or is it $40.00 Total? Can you file an ammendment if you have already filed taxes?

Thank you for your quick answer. So, I cannot file ammendments for 2003 through 2006? Only a single ammendment for 2006 at the $40.00(2) rate?

It's $40 TOTAL, one time only, for the 2006 tax year, for a two person household. $30 for a one-person household, $50 for three, $60 for four or more.

Yes, if you already filed, you can claim it on an amended return. You'd claim it on line 15 of the 1040X.

It's a one-time payment. If you have 2 exemptions on your return, you get $40.

Yes, you can file an amendment. Get a copy of Form 1040X from the IRS website.

$40 total, but depends on your exemptions. Read more on irs.gov.

File an ammendment if you put $40 per year, or else you will be triggered through an audit.
