I'm 25 and he is 32, How can you tell if a guy feels the same way you do. He works rotating shifts, so I see him every other weekend. He works 12 hours shifts, so trying to see him during the week is crazy. He said he has feelings for me, but how can I tell he feels the same. He's sweet, fine, believe it or not, we just had sex for the first time this past weekend. I wasn't a virgin or anything, he wanted to make sure I was ready for this big step. We have been together since the end of January. So how can I tell if he might be the one, I want to spend the rest of my life with. This is how I feel when we are together. I can't stop thinking about him, when he calls me, my heart skips a beat, I get butterflies. I feel safe in his arms. How can I tell if he feels the same way or not? I can't wait for his call, we talk on his breaks or for a litle bit after he gets off of work. Please tell me what to look for. This is my first real serious relationship, like this.

Well it sounds like you're in-like for sure. Maybe even the beginning of love but it is still too soon in your relationship to know for sure if he will be the one. The butterflies, heart beating fast, and waiting for his call are all wonderful effects of the infatuation stage of love. This is the first 2 yrs that you are in a relationship. The purpose of this stage is to bond you together so that you can weather the ups and downs of a life together. From your question, it sounds like he is a nice guy and that he respects you enough not to push sex on you.
The only way to know for sure is to give it time. Once the chemical reaction in your body wears off, this is when you truly get to know who the person is. So in the meantime, enjoy this fun, exciting part of the relationship. If he treats you well and you love and care about him, explore the relationship. See where it leads. Why is there a need to rush into this with full force. Even though you have been dating for almost two months that is still not enough time to profess love for one another. You may know in your heart but I suggest you continue with the dating process. If you truly feel the need to let him know how you feel I would ask him first what he thinks of your relationship with him and if he feels it is a long-term exclusive sort of thing. This may clear up alot of your questions.

take it slow and easy...if he keeps calling you and coming around, good, believe him when he says he has feelings for you...just wait and make sure that if you had to spend 24/7 together that you would feel the same way. my husband does contract labor sometimes and it's great to have him be gone for a couple days and then we miss each other all the more...if it ends up being like that, great, you'll know...it's still pretty early in the relationship to be judging the distance...

Well, you have not really been together that long. I say if things are going great and you feel good about your relationship just let things happen and if he is in love with you the time will come where he will tell you.

the best way to find out is to ask him about his feelings. ask him how he would describe the love he has for u. and what he thinks about the relationship so far.
