There have been very few studies on what tropical parulas eat. Of the few that have been done the parulas were found to eat mainly, bees and wasps, flies, caterpillars,as well as other arthropods, a few berries, and what I find interresteing is that they ingest the secretions of plant lice (basically like honeydew from aphids )

** what food does the bird-tropical parula eat? **

The Tropical Parula, Parula pitiayumi, is a small New World warbler. It breeds from northern Mexico and south through Central America to northern Argentina, the Guianas, Trinidad and Tobago. The song is a high buzzy trill, and the call is a sharp tsit.

These birds feed on insects and spiders and occasionally berries.

Have a pleasant day.
