there is green things growing out of my garlic, don't know what it is and is it ok to use???

its fine. The live enzymes are causing it to sprout-its trying to replant itself. Just cut them off (they are a bit bitter) and carry on with it.

Garlic is a bulb plant and it is sprouting. If you wanted to you could plant it in a container and have your own fresh garlic. If not, just remove the green sprout and use the rest.

you just have to take the green thing out and cut up the garlic and use it. the green stuff you don't want to use. so the garlic is still good to use

It's OK to use but it may taste VERY bitter!
It's the root from the plant. Try storing them in the fridge and they will grow out much slower.

Yes, just take it out. It just means it's sprouting. It's still perfectly fine.
