I want to buy a recumbent bike. I am considering the Nautilus 2000 or the Vision Fitness 2150 or 2200. They all have similar features, so I am inquiring primarily about the quality of the bike and comfort with extended use.

Guys, I appreciate the "outside sentiment", however, I live in Houston. Riding a bike outside here will get you 1- killed and 2- skin cancer. Anyone know anything about specific brands of INSIDE exercise bikes. Thanks.

Buy a recumbent, but get an outdoor bike. The only good bike is the one you feel comfortable riding and paying the price. Recumbents are more comfortable to ride and safer. An indoor exercise bike will get boring over time. You can always get a trainer to put the bike on in the winter time which is a great time to ride outside.

you could get hotter by riding a real bike out in the sunshine. recumbents are for geriatrics. ...get yer face outta the mirror and get out and ride.

I think you should consider other alternative exercises. You can get a good workout and spend less money.
