In the beginning you find youself alone, as if you cannot live without him. The first step is realizing this is not the case. You are now an independant woman, free of constraints, of tears and of fights. You should be cherished, and worshiped, as a queen. You need to find your sel-confidence, find new habits and discover your independance.
There will be weeks where you will go into a relapse, and wish it was always the same, but remind yourself to be strong. I found confidence in friends I thought I had lost after ostricing myself from them with an unhelathy 3 year relationship. Cry once, bawl it out, but after no more tears. Learn to smile and laugh, to find beauty in friendships.
Best of all there's music! I found break up songs, dance songs, anything to get rid of that anger positively, danced and sang around. Yes you look like an idiot but it helps :P! Make sure you don't mope around at home, go out, go to school, or work, find an interest to positively help you. This is not a way in avoiding your problem which you need to accept, but a way of not drowning yourself in it and handicapping your life.
You'll be fine. Once you find yourself, you'll love it!

First, I am so sorry that you've had to experience this. Second, realize that it was HIS problem and not yours. You are not responsible for his behavior. Take some time to be by yourself and lick your wounds. Invite some girlfriends over and have a big cry-fest or something.

DO NOT go directly into another relationship - temporary or permanent - to "get back" at him! It will only end up hurting you and possibly a perfectly nice guy (the rebound guy, not your ex).

If necessary, try counseling. There's nothing wrong with asking for a little help for coping with the curveballs that life throws at you.

Good luck to you!

First, know you're not the first this has happened to. I worked through my infidelity issues (marriage of 16 years) on a web forum. I really did. Best therapy I ever got. And I feel really great about that choice. The advice that people give there is to find a hobby, a charity to volunteer with that you feel passionately about, join an exercise group or take up a new sport. When you are working to improve yourself, you will begin to grow your self confidence. In time, that boyfriend will be a blip on the radar.

Im not an expert, but Life goes on! We live and learn! Whatever his reason was for cheating so long, something wasn't right in the relationship.
To get over it, go out to clubs, parties, hang out with friends, shop til u drop, whatever you do try not to be bored.
In your next relationship, try more communication and be a freak in the bedroom.

Just enjoy your life. If he cheating he is a asshole so leave him so that he can learn a lesson. Move on. You'll find the right one. Though it is hard to forget someone that you've been with for 7 years, you can do it!
