If Science can date the Earth or any part of the Universe or even come close, that would assume there was a created beginning, right?
Or, that maybe the Earth or the matter therein would have eternally existed.
in which case the dating of the Earth can not be determined, right?
No beating around the bush here, I believe God Is the Creator.
I just don't understand how Evolutionists would be able to explain dating the Earth and not being able to explain DNA and yet still think that somehow ALL OF THIS JUST HAPPENED.
Don't ask me how I know God is real because I could go on telling you how he has changed and effected my life. I have Faith in my God.
I don't however have faith in Evolution. But I am curious how one could explain these things and have faith in it.
I'm no expert but will reaserch any "Real, Adult-Like" answers given to better understand.
(no gabage answers please-you will not be paid attention)

I am not an evolutionist, but I thought I would put In my 2 cents.

Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

Romans 1:19-20

EDIT: Please remember that evolution is a theory, and is not part of the "reality of science." many of the scientific and religous "teachings" of centurys past have been proven wrong by the bible. (i.e. the number of stars, the uniqueness of stars, the shape of the earth, the suspension of the earth in space)

We know how and when the earth was created, and there is no reason to believe that god had anything to do with it as the entire process proceeded according to known laws of physics. We know that existing life derived from evolution of earlier life; we have names, dates, and places, as well as proof that the theory is correct. We do not yet know how life actually started on the planet, although we do know that it was not long after the earth formed. We do know that there was a lot of life around by 2.7 billion years ago, as it was then that photosynthesis turned the CO2 atmosphere into the oxygen atmosphere that has prevailed ever since. The real problem with trying to introduce any theory of god into this is that it leads to no possible predictions; hence, it is useless to do so. It is not necessary to have faith in any of this, and indeed it is counterproductive to do so: all of this is based on evidence, which anyone is free to examine should one care to take the trouble to do so.

Evolution does not discuss the origins of the universe, it merely describes the development and change and mechanism thereof of living beings over time. What can we not explain about DNA? I can explain anything you want me to, I am a Biologist and wouldn't mind helping you understand DNA or evolution. Science has never said anything about the existence or lack thereof of a god or gods. It seems that you don't eally understand evolution, the Big Bang, abiogenesis, or even the basics of scientific investigation. I have not faith or belief, but knowledge. I know that living things have and do evolve. I know what DNA is made of and how it works. I know how the biology and chemistry works and how live coul have been born from organic chemicals. It isn't belief, once you understand the science, there is no need for faith, just like you don't have faith that there is a sun, you know its there, you don't have faith that if you cook hamburger it will turn from red to grey or brown, you know it.

Dating doesn't imply a beginning, just a time frame for what we know to exist. We assume there was a beginning but we can only hope to learn how that happened. Most likely we will never know.

I do believe in God but not the Christian version of God or in creationism. I do not believe God picked up dirt and breathed life into it creating humans. That's a bit far fetched. I do believe God created the universe (most likely via the big bang) and set into place all of the physical laws that govern its existence. That would include evolution.

I have faith in my God, yet I accept the reality of science - evolution included.

The age of the universe is since the big bang. What happens is the universe gets so big that the gravitational pull causes it to collapse in on itself and create a super-dense matter and energy. This it turn explodes and throws all that matter and energy outward (where we are at now). Eventually it get too big again and it all starts over. It is thought that this has gone on forever and will go on forever. The dating of the earth is when the earth, in it's somewhat present form, found itself in orbit around the sun. The age of the universe is since the big bang.

If you operate on the theory of the "Big Bang". You still leave room for the spark which I think we would both agree is God.

Evolutionists see the evolution of man yet still cannot answer what or where did the first piece of matter that we evolved from- come from. So there is still room for God.

Each comes to an understanding of life in their own way but the mystery of how we evolved leaves room for us all to ponder the wonder that is man. Most feel they can interpret the Bible. That we do not need to believe in a strictly literal interpretation that opens the hearts and minds to think what the Bible and God means to us all.

God Bless

You are under the misconception that evolution is proof there is no God. Evolution is actually agnostic...without reference to or against a deity.

Young-Earth believers were the ones who started the problem. They started pushing the agenda that evolution was wrong, evil, and nasty because it went against the literal words of the Bible. Evolution (and the other areas of science you made reference to that have nothing to do with evolution) is merely the scientific observation.

Don't let some screwball use your faith against you and convince you that its either atheism and evolution or faith. Pope John Paul II had faith, and understood evolution..

The earth has existed a finite, known period of time; the universe as well, but longer. The "matter therein" has existed infinitely, though at some point as energy, as matter and energy are fungible.

I can look at a painting, and know when it was painted, but it is more difficult knowing when the paint was made, or when the plants that were used to make the paint were grown, or when the light left the sun to make the plant grow....

How come you religious guys find it so hard to understand evolution when there is so much evidence of it, but you can believe that some sort of "god" could hokus-pokus the whole thing into being. Talk about superstition !!!
I'm sure glad that you have faith in your "god" and may he bless your ah-soul.

No, you won't.
If you wanted to do research, you could have easily done it by typing in "evolution" or "theory of evolution" into google. It's not rocket science.

You just wanted to rant about why you don't accept evolution and post the usual strawmen about "happening by chance" and "God is real" and "having faith in evolution" and all sorts of other nonsense. It's readily apparent that you don't know the first thing about evolution or science in general... you have allowed religious belief to cloud your judgment.

Do some homework of your own first, and THEN step up to the plate with "Real, Adult-like" questions.
