No way.
If you somehow have mastered making your child behave without spanking once in a while then GREAT!!
Unfortunately, most people havent.
Kids need a good spanking once in a while.
Believe it or not about a year ago I thanked my mother for spanking me when I was a child because now I can see the difference between my manners and many others who have very very poor manners and behavior.

No it is not wrong to 'spank' a misbehaving child as long as it is a corrective spanking -- don't go overboard.

it's fine to spank your kid. society is making such a big deal out of every little thing we do nowadays. child abuse is completely different from a whack on the rear. i only spank my kids as a last resort though, because they usually straighten up with the threat of a spanking.

I think its wrong when you do it out of anger and when a parent always resort to spanking as the first choice instead of using other alternatives to discipline their children.

Never spanked, never will.
A child should never have to fear that a parent will cause them physical pain, regardless of the misbehavior.

Nope, we all must do what we think is right. My husband and I use spanking among other things with our 3 daughters. I don't think it's any ones business how someone chooses to raise their children, unless abuse is taking place. Since spanking is legal, it's everyone individual choice.

It should be used as a last resort, there are many other ways to get to a child.

If another adult did to you what you do to a child you are spanking, would it be wrong?
So wrong it could land him in jail, actually.
If it's wrong to do it to an adult, it is more wrong to do it to a child.
NEVER, EVER HURT A CHILD!

It isn't wrong. It's a parenting method that has been working fine for centuries. I don't believe that other methods (including psychological abusive super nanny methods) really work better.
