I am just curious if there are any differences in how a woman would feel about a man based on one situation versus the other:

(Situation A:) He is physically and medically unable to father a child. Examples: injury, illness, congential defect, etc

(Situation B:) He is physically able to father children but simply doesn't want any children.

Note: I suppose a vasectomy situation could be a bit confusing. He could have elected to have the procedure done while being in a relationship with you. OR He may have had the procedure long before he ever met you, for any number of reasons.

It depends on the woman. I can speak from experience in saying that vast differences in desire or ability to have children between spouses can cause endless problems in the marriage.

I had a vasectomy very young. I don’t ever want children. I am one among many.

When I was in my 20’s, dating was nearly impossible. Every women already had kids.

Most of the women that did not have kids, wanted them, so my having had a vasectomy was the ultimate “deal-breaker”.

The ones that already had kids would date me. In fact, most women, in their late 20’s, and early 30’s had their tubes tied. They told me that most men would not date them because they can’t have more kids. They actually sought men that didn’t want kids.

So to answer your question:

Women that already have all the kids they want will view a man that does not want kids as a jewel.

Women that do not have kids will not date such a man.

Women that think they might want more kids, are undecided.

My former source had kids. We split up because she wanted more.

BTW: The number of women that don’t want kids is growing. Today they outnumber men that don’t want kids.

It depends on the woman. If the woman absolutely wants to be a mother, she isn't going to choose a man who doesn't want kids. The man who can't have kids physically can still make her a mother through adoption. There are women out there who don't want to have a family. It's your job to find someone that shares your same vision for life.

As long as I knew about it going into the relationship than I wouldn't have a problem with it... Not knowing something that important though could be very hard on a relationship. That's just one thing that has to be discussed between the 2 people involved.

it would probably depend on the woman's goals. if she wants children naturally, she might not want to further the relationship. really, that's something you should be up front about. if a gal you were 'interested' in knew she couldnt have kids naturally, for whatever reason...would a man continue to pursue her? many people, cultures put great emphasis on the ability to conceive. nothing wrong with that. peace

There is always adoption for situation A. For situation B if she really wants kids then she should look for another man

So long as he's physically able to "perform" I'm all for it. I personally don't want kids - I've dated a couple of guys that had a vasectormy and it made things much easier.

I would feel the same way towards him in either case. So he can't or doesn't want to have kids...if he chooses later on to have kids, they can always adopt or try themselves. It's an okay situation...

A HUGE relief! Not ALL women want kids and would see him as a jewel.
