I am looking into a 2004-2005 Chevy cavalier and I can't figure out if it is worth the extra money to buy a dealer certified pre-owned car. it has an extended warranty(100,000 miles) with it so i think it might be worth the extra money. But I don't really have a lot extra, so i don't want to waste what little I do have.

I would not recommend a Cavalier either, however to answer your question, you will want Manufacturer Certified Pre-Owned..i.e. Chevrolet Certified..Honda Certified..etc. These warranties can be as good, and sometimes better than Original Factory warranty extensions. They often carry lower interest rates. I hope this helps.

I would stay away from the Cavalier, very unreliable, low end car that doesn't hold it's value. Your timing belt is likely to blow if it's near 100,000 miles. The extended warranty may be worth it, because you are going to have mechanical problems with this car. Go for a Honda or Toyota, far more dependable, and they both hold their value.
