Who is the better flight demo team The US Navy Blue Angels, or the United States Airforce Thunderbirds?

Thunderbirds. Not that I'm biased or anything.

Late note: I phrased my answer as humor. In truth, the Angels are hard to beat. They've got their routine honed to a very fine edge and are an absolute joy to watch. In the last several years, the Thunderbirds suffered fatal losses and went to stand down as a result on both occasions. Those stand down years let the rust grow.

I've photographed them both and thought that the Blue Angels were better hands down. They fly lower and closer.

Both teams put on a great show so I don't want to take anything away from the Thunderbirds.

Thats an easy answer.....The Blue Angels! If you have ever seen them in action, there would be no question. The Thunderbirds are ok...but not as legendary as the Blue Angels.

The Blue angels are the best right now, and I've been around the USAF all my 52 years.

However, when the Thunderbirds flew the F4, a rock with two engines on it, they were most excellent!

Not to beat a dead goat but the Blues are the better team by far. I saw both perform last year. The Tbirds are what I would call loose in formation. the seperate by what looks like 5 feet. the Bluse on the other hand fly as close as 18 inches nose to wing. The Blues formation moves as one solid machine where as you see a lot more bobble with the Tbirds. Much respect to both teams they are impressive professionals but the Blues have got it nailed.

For close formation flight, the Thunderbords. For great manouvers, the Blue Angels

Depends where the show is!
When (T Birds)they perform here, they fly out of an air force base 60 miles away due top the short runways so we are robbed of the landing and takeoff.
The Angels are carrier-trained, and they can opeate out of short runways, and we get to see their landing and takeoff performances, plus have a chance to see the pilots and talk to them.
