If Iran and North Korea would do exercises around the Pacific and Atlantic where they do mock attacks on the U.S.
If it's ok for the U.S. to do it in the Gulf, why not other countries do the same thing?
That's a nice double standard there America.

America's got a lot of double standards - they are not hard to find.

North Korea actually has done that....testing IRMs a couple months ago. Iran has no practical reason to perform military exercises in the Pacific or Atlantic. If the United States redeployed every member of the military out of the west coast and east coast....the Iranian military would still fail to successfully execute a military invasion.....the population of Los Angeles or New York City alone could take on the Iranian military.

It's not a double standard, it's just a show of force the U.S. performs...the U.S. could actually attack these countries and get away with it, Iran and North Korea simply could not perform a conventional attack on the U.S.

The countries in the Gulf who own those waters invited the Americans. One of American’s greatest exports is military training and equipment. It is unfortunate that North Korea and Iran's naval activities have taken on such a threatening posture, combined with open nuclear proliferation, making their neighbors feel a need for our military expertise and weaponry.

Just so you know...
Many military exercise are done on different areas with different countries. For example RIMPAC, is a naval military exercise done evrey couple of years in Hawaii. A couple of military exercises were done in Panama, for instance depicting an attack towards the control of the canal. Some were done in Mexico with Mexican co-operation of the Mexican army that was depicting an attack in Arizona and Texas. These exercises are done with the co-operation of allies NOT enemies.

The difference is, we don't actually attack without provication, unlike North Korea and Iran. Besides, how do you know they don't hold wargames? It's not like their redneck yacht club they call a navy would generate a lot of press.

Hmm, since they don't have the capability the issue is moot. By the way this is called diplomacy through gunboats . Our Navy vs theirs. (Which we beat up upon already once.)

Dude, we would so go after them for that (I think you realize this). Yeah, it's a double standard. Don't understand how people can think it's right. I'm not advocating letting Iran do what it wants, but when we say one thing and do another, it doesn't lend much credence to our arguments, does it?

That is, without a doubt, one of the dumbest ideas ever. Go back to "Singles and Dating", wise one.
