Thank you for your reply. It gives me hope and encouragement because Sophie is my baby, as I know they all are. Can you tell my how long your Pom was paralyzed and on steroids? Mine has been since Saturday night, and my vet wants to make a decision by Friday. I'm just wondering how long she can go without moving her back legs since yours was paralyzed for some time and then regained movement. I just saw her at lunch, and there's not one bit of movement yet . . . but I don't want to give up too soon. She also has a heart condition, collapsing trachea (congenital defects) and is 10 years old, so surgery is out of the question.
Thank you again for reading and replying to my questions. As I wrote, my spirits are lifted and I am encouraged -- the more time she and I have, the better.
Thanks,
Kathryn
