I am a 15 year old male who lives in the Chicago-land area. I met a girl online who is 14 and lives in the Toronto area. I used google earth and found out that we live 9 hours apart if I were to drive. My parents know about this girl and I think her parents know of me, and neither of our parents approve. I like this girl a lot and I really want to meet her.
I don't feel just talking to her is enough. I want to be able to give her a hug after a long hard day. I've given this situation weeks and weeks of thoughts and I can't make up my mind. I get my drivers liscense in about 3-4 months.
My dad told me to wait until I'm 18 years old, and that's when I can do something about it. I really don't want to wait 2-3 more years to get to meet her. I love this girl a lot. I think she feels the same way. At least she says she does.
This has been hard for me to tell all of you this, considering I don't know any of you.
What would you do? What do you think I should do about this?

Im actually in a similar situation myself and im telling you from now, most people wont understand how you feel. dotn let them get to you, if ur sure of how you feel, thats all that matters. now, about seeing her, you should talk to ur parents and tell them everything you told us. ask them if they can drive you there or maybe if you can stay with a family memeber of yours that lives nearby. if stuff doesnt work out right now, dont worry. remember ur still young, who know what could happen between now and the time you get ur lisence. big thing, thou, try to stay on ur parents' good side, it will make things so much easier in the long run. well, good luck

heyy ok dont listen to all those other ppl answering rite now cause im actually in the same situtaion u are rite now. im a 15 yr old girl and i met a guy thats the same age about a yr ago online. i live in buffalo and he lives in philly. we talk pretty much everyday either on the phone or online now. i rele like him a lot and we've always talked about maybe dating someday and hopefully meeting soon. the thing is our parents dont kno about this at all because i kno they wouldnt approve of it. neways we both get our liscence in a few months also but we prolly wont be able to meet up for a few yrs either. i definetly feel how u feel rite now...i just wish so bad we could interact with eachother beacuse talking just isn't enough. im always thinking about him and im sure he def feels this way about me too. i just dont know what to do either. we're just hoping for the best rite now. if u want tho, u can email me if u want to talk more (emelgirl91@aol.com) i wish u the best of luck! =D

So you've never actually met her? That's not exactly the best thing to do in my opinion. You never know who she could actually be when you meet her. You should really be careful if you decide to actually go about meeting her. Listen to your parents. Most of the time parents are right about things, even if you don't think they are at the time. If you really want to meet her, don't just go with out your parents permission when you get your license. You should ask them if they would be willing to go with you to meet her to be on the safe side or something like that. Meeting people that you don't actually know from online a lot of times turn out for the worse, not always but most of the time. So definitely just be careful when going to meet her if you actually do go through with it. I hope this helps.

You should tell your parents what you wrote on here. They will (Or Should) understand that you feel deeply for this girl and if that doesn't work then I don't know what to tell you, but you could both get webcams so that at least you can see each other.

Cmon man, grow up and find some action in your own country! I do not blame your parents one bit! Have you thought she might be playing you to try to get married to become a US citizen? Think about it...
