my husband was told once that soda don't allow the medicine to work properly.i don't know if this is true or not.sometimes you may be somewhere where water isn't available.i was just wondering if anyone knew.thanx.=)

yes, certain drinks can affect the rate of absorption of a drug, i.e. it will either slow or speed up the absorption and you wont get the optimum amount of drug in your blood. you should always take medicines with water unless otherwise stated.

It varies depending on the medicine, water us usually the best, some need milk, and others juice....the bottle will tell you what you need to take it with if it is important....
