My mom is having a problem getting images from emails. I'm 1,500 miles away so I haven't seen it but she says that whenever she tries to open an image in her emails ( she just uses Yahoo) nothing comes up except a box that pops up titled Microsoft Office Outlook.

In the box is a circle with an X and it says "Error in registry extension "exchange extensions?" The syntax or format of the registry entry is incorrect. Check the registry setting for the registry for this extension to other extensions in the registry."

She doesn't even use outlook but it is apparently keeping her from viewing anything. Anybody know what needs to be switched or what the problem is? Thanks for the help.

Mike

Sounds like some program she is using (or maybe just opened once) is opening a default to Outlook. I know it happened to me once. I was doing using Background Magic on the PC and wanted to send a copy of the tile to my Mac and hit send email without thinking about it. It automatically opened Outlook and for about a month, it opened every time I wanted to do anything.
It's been awhile, but I think I had to go in and choose another default option for every single thing that Outlook had a capability for. It was a total pain, but as I remember, that was what it took.
